The 1Password for Windows installer does not install on Windows 11
Downloaded 1PasswordSetup-latest.exe file version 8.10.9.46 to install on Windows 11 Business version 10.0.22621 on a Lenovo 21BT001PUS running a 12th Gen Intel i7 with 16Gb RAM. Ran the file with Administrator permission. It asked to install 1Password 8, and I clicked OK. At about 80% through the installation it stopped and brought up a dialog box saying “1Password was unable to complete installation and will roll back any changes.”

I had initially installed on Windows 11 and it was working fine but then it wouldn't install any updates. I tried uninstalling the app, downloading the new installer, and now it won't install at all. I'm now without 1password on my Windows machine. Multiple reboots haven't helped either.
Windows 11 Home, 22H2, build 22621.2134Edit: found in another thread, rebooting windows in Safe Mode and then running the installer worked. I'm now back in business. Phew! What a hassle though; am I going to have to do this every update?

Hello folks,
I'm sorry for the issues you've encountered with the installation of 1Password for Windows.
Since @thunderpaw mentioned that restarting Windows in Safe Mode with Networking Enabled and installing 1Password again, helped, you are likely running into security software that was blocking the app from completing the install. @Headley / @aryehby - I've left Microsoft's Support guide below for assist if you'd like to give this a try:
If this helps, you can try updating security software and excluding the
1Password.exe
file from scans. This can help to ensure you don't run in to future troubles with installs or updates. The.exe
can be found here -C:\Users\%username%\Appdata\Local\1Password\app\8\
.Please let me know if you encounter any other troubles.
