Lost of Touch ID functionality in Browser Extension

Options

My extension just update to 2.14.0.

And now, when I click on the extension button, I have to enter my password. There is no more the Touch ID prompt.
How to restore this feature ? I have uninstalled and reinstaller both App end Extension.

In the 1P App, Touch ID is enabled and still working.

1Password Version: 8.10.9
Extension Version: 2.14.0
OS Version: macOS Ventura 13.5
Browser: Chrome 116.0.5845.96

  • Hello @HooK! 👋

I'm sorry that Touch ID isn't working to unlock 1Password in the browser. It sounds like communication between the 1Password extension in your browser and the 1Password for Mac app has broken down. As a first step please try the following:

    1. Close all open web browsers.
    2. Right-click on the 1Password icon at the top of your Mac's screen and then click Quit. Wait until the icon disappears.
    3. Double-click on 1Password from your Mac's Application folder.
    4. Open your web browser.

If that doesn't work then can you right-click on the 1Password icon in your browser's toolbar, click Settings, and then tell me if "Integrate with 1password app" is turned on and you see a green circle beneath the setting?

    Thanks @Dave_1P for your answer.

I follow the steps and after 10mn with the well known "Ooops error" ...
    It's working again !
This version of extension seems very buggy :-D Hope a fix will come soon.

    Thanks for your help !

  • @HooK Please give 2.14.1 a try when you can. Others have reported success with it.
