Changing the suggested 1Password choice

When I try to sign in to my Ring account, 1Password keeps suggesting my Amazon password instead of the Ring one that I manually stored in my login items. How do I force it to use the Ring password instead? I don't see any way to change what the dropdown menu offers

I've never used Ring so this is just a guess: But it seems that your Ring is logging in to amazon.com, thus triggering your Amazon login. Try editing the Ring login and manually adding amazon.com to the websites list, so the same website also triggers the Ring login.

(You should now get offered both in the dropdown. You can't make it show Ring only. Well you can by deleting the amazon.com from the Amazon entry, but then you'd have the reverse problem: your Amazon login would not be triggered when you want it, at that website).

Can you let me know the URL of the login page for Ring as well as the URL's that you have saved within both your Ring and Amazon items so I can do some testing and best advise?

And just by the way, to sign into 1Password’s forum, I always have to copy and paste my password from my 1P login items list because it never suggests that one either.

Hey @rhgold53,

You can prevent the Amazon item from appearing by using the steps listed here to only fill your item on the exact domain: Change where a login is suggested and filled. I also suggest changing the URL saved in your Amazon item to https://www.amazon.com.

Was your Ring item appearing in addition to this item or not at all?

As for signing in to this forum, can you go to the login page and give these steps a try and then let me know if your credentials are suggested:

1. Go to the log in page
2. Manually enter your log in details but don't click enter or sign in.
3. Right click the 1Password icon in your browser toolbar and choose 'Save Login'
4. Give it a title and click Save.
5. Now refresh the page and see if you are able to fill.

Thank you, both of those suggestions worked. Now when logging in to Ring, the dropdown shows both Amazon and Ring as choices, which is fine and is not a problem.
