Can you use both (passkeys and normal passwords)?

A perhaps stupid question, as my iPhone is still running on iOS 15 and cannot be updated: Can I use passkeys with my 1P desktop app on the Mac and normal passwords when using it via the iPhone? Or is it only either or (across devices)?

    Yes, you will be able to use passkeys on your devices that support saving and signing in with them and use passwords on your iPhone running iOS 15 if the website or app supports both being set up at the same time. This is the case for a lot of supported sign in with passkeys sites currently (PayPal, Amazon, Docusign for example).

    If the website or app only allows passkeys being set up over the password, they typically have a passwordless fall back such as sending a Magic Link or code to your email address or phone number on that specific account.
