Can’t scan 2FA QR Code via Safari Extension
I am getting the following error message.
First I can’t read the full error message. Maybe you can change this in a future update or give me an option to read it later.
Furthermore the error appears each time.
I am using a Passkey for PayPal but want to add a 2FA aswell.

Hello @BKrnk! 👋
I'm sorry that you're running into an issue when using 1Password as your authenticator app for PayPal. So that I can better understand that situation can you please tell me the following:
- I see that you already have a 2FA one-time password saved for the item ("einmaliges Passwort"), are you replacing this one-time password with a new one-time password?
- If you zoom in on the QR scan before scanning in, do you still see the same error message?
- Are you able to setup 2FA for PayPal using 1Password in the browser on your desktop?
I look forward to hearing from you.

Hello @Dave_1P,
Vielen Dank für deine Antwort. Ich versuche deine Fragen möglichst präzise zu beantworten.
1.) I am replacing this 2FA or - as I noticed - your app is somehow creating an his code but not processing it OR PayPal have some errors
2.) does not work. Same error Message
3.) unfortunately not
Overall I am not sure if PayPal has a keyroll in this error constellation. As I am getting the error message setting up the 2FA constantly (not in the 1P extension - talking about an error on the PayPal website)
But I would like to know if you can improve the error message show in the extension in a proper way

Hello @Dave_1P,
I try something else not that finally worked.
Instead of scanning the QR code via the extension I „peak & popped“ the QR code and saw that I open it (from the contextual menu) in 1Password. Then I was selecting my PayPal Account and now everything worked fine. Even non error message on PayPal website.
I would recommend to you that you should teach users about the option to „peak and pop“ QR codes to 1Password, cause I just found out by trying out and you might should tell users about this possibility
So I think that you app is showing an error scanning the QR code via the extensions but still adding it to my PayPal item - I was editing my item and found (really in the bottom of the item) that there was 6 different 2FA codes and timers.

Good morning @Dave_1P I wanted to remember here again. I noticed that the error still seems to exist. Today I had a QR code scanned via the Safari extension, but I again got an error message small text at the bottom of the screen). However, what happened afterwards was that the two-factor code was stored in my account. So maybe this is just an incorrect assignment when translating the displayed text.
