[Bug] Edit Record on Extension and Windows App
I experience a weird issue wherein if you click a record and click Edit
on the 1Password Extension.
This is what happens:
A. Current Experience:
It opens 1Password Windows App, but it doesn't show the selected record that needs to edited but a random record instead.
B. Expected Experience:
It opens 1Password Windows App, and it shows the selected record that needs to be edited
1Password Version: 8.10.16
Extension Version: 2.15.1
OS Version: Windows 11
Browser: Brave Browser

I also experience a similar but different issue in Windows 10 and the Firefox extension. While trying to change a password, the 1Password app window opened and let me edit/change the password, however, when clicking on Save and returning to the browser extension, the password did not update. Never had an issue with this before. Tried it several times. I was able to update the password but by essentially deleting the login and redoing it. I note there was a recent update. I will try deleting the extension and reinstalling the current one.

Hello @jwill0253,
Thanks for your message here. While similar, it does sound as though the password is saved in the app but not syncing from the app to the browser extension.
Could you create a test item in the 1Password app, save it and edit the password. Does this item eventually update in the browser extension after a few minutes? Does manually locking/unlocking the 1Password app help to sync the recently changed password to the browser extension?
Within the 1Password app are you seeing any troubles with an offline indicator at the top of the app window after changing the password?
I'm looking forward to your reply.

The issue seems to have resolved itself. I did remove the extension from Firefox and reinstalled it. I did an edit on a duplicate item and it updated immediately in the from the app to the extension. Probably an update glitch somewhere. Thanks for the reply. All good now.
