Show items without tags
I'd like to show items with no tags. First, this should be added as a view in the tags list (maybe at the bottom).
I've read that if you type tag: into search on Windows desktop app, it will show items without tags. But, on my system, it shows items with "tag" somewhere (I have 2 items with "tag" in Notes field for example "service tag:").
So, how do you show items without tags?

Hello again jd5000,
Thanks for the update and report of this behaviour. I've done some further testing and seeing similar behaviour where
=untagged:
seems to be searching for untagged items containing:
. I've reported this to the team to investigate. While this is being looked in to, I would suggest searching with
=untagged
, which will give you the expected results for all untagged items. With regard to your comments about having an
untagged
tag in the sidebar, thanks for the suggestion. While I can't make any promises, I've passed this feedback along to the team for consideration.Let me know if you have any additional suggestions!

Thanks. Weirdly, =untagged shows some items =untagged: shows others (with some the same between the two).
I think that untagged items are a type of tagged item and when the "Tag" is selected under "Always Show In Sidebar" in the settings, the untagged items should be shown as "Untagged" in the tag tree in the sidebar. It could be the last tag item. I'm not sure what the procedure is, but, perhaps you could pass this on to the development team as a new option request.

Thanks for the help, Former Member!
jd5000, did using
=untagged:
help? If you'd like some additional reference, I've included our guide below:
* Search in the 1Password app to find what you need - Search filtersPlease let us know if we can be of further assistance!

The tag search works by entering =tag:my_tag_name - you missed the "=" at the beginning, and you literally enter "=tag:", followed by the tag name your'e searching for.
To search for untagged items, enter =untagged:
However, this "untagged" keyword is localized, so if you're running 1Password with a non-English user interface, you need to enter whatever "untagged" is translated in your local language. For example, if you have German as language, you would have to enter "=unmarkiert:" as search. Weird functionality with this translation, if you ask me, especially because it isn't documented anywhere, but this is how it works.
