hi, I'm thinking of going onto Passkey for websites that I have in my vault that accept it. I use Mac, iPhone and iPad

I go to a learning centre several times a week and I don't want to install 1password software on any of its windows/Microsoft pcs. how can I access my online accounts with passkeys?

Here are two examples of where I have setup a passkey. The 1Password browser extension and 1Password desktop application are not installed. Bluetooth must be turned on, on both phone and PC/Mac. Both phone and PC/Mac need an internet connection. I only used 1Password on my phone to login to my accounts on a PC using the Edge browser.

adobe.com - I entered my email address, took the option 'Use another method to receive the code' and then chose 'Sign in with passkey'. Scan the QR code and authorise with 1Password on my phone. I was then logged in to adobe.com.

nvidia.com - Click 'Log in with security device' at the bottom of their login page. Scan the QR code and authorise with 1Password on my phone. It then asked for a 2FA code and once entered, I was then logged in to nvidia.com.

I believe the answer given by @AliH1P is incorrect.

@alistairmck I apologize, the information I provided in my initial reply was inaccurate/outdated. You can indeed scan the QR code using your iPhone and sign in using your passkey as @Powerless described.

After selecting "Sign in with passkey" you may be initially prompted to use a Security Key. You can cancel the initial prompt at which point you will be presented with the option to Use your passkey:

Here you can choose Use a phone or tablet and scan the QR code on your iOS device.

Let me know how things go when you get a chance to try this out.
