MacOS 1P won't add Safari as trusted browser

1Password for Mac 8.10.20 (81020012)
Safari Version 17.2 (19617.1.11.11.3)

When I attempt to add Safari as a trusted browser, I get the message:

That application didn't work.

The selected application was signed in an unsupported way or may be missing a required identifier.

Browser: Not Provided
