Hi,
Does anyone know if there's a way to 'edit' or update 1pass usernames in bulk or in mass?

1Password Version: 8.10.20
Extension Version: 2.15.1
OS Version: windows 11
Browser: firefox

  • Hello @raahh! 👋

Thank you for the question. There isn't a way to edit usernames for multiple items at once. I recommend that you use 1Password in the browser to update each item's username as you change it on the website in question: Save and fill passwords in your browser

You'll need to edit the username both in 1Password and with the actual service that username is for. If that doesn't work then can you tell me a little more about why you need to change the username for so many items at once?

I look forward to hearing from you.

    Hi @Dave_1P
    thanks for the reply.
I can do what you suggested, I was hoping for a way to edit multiple usernames at once. Do you think it's possible this could be a DEV request feature for a future release?

more about the reason...I need to change the usernames because I won't be having access to the e-mail account used when I first created those accounts in the past.

  • Thanks for the reply @raahh.

While we can file a feature request to bulk edit multiple items at once within 1Password, these items would still need to be manually edited with the actual service.

Let me know if that's what you're looking for.

    Hi @AliH1P
yeah, I get that. I'll still need to manually edit the item with the actual service but I like to be able to still edit multiple items at once or in bulk in 1Pass.

  • Hey @raahh.

While I can't make any promises, I've gone ahead and filed a feature request for bulk item editing for our product team's consideration.

Let me know if you have any further questions or suggestions.
