When can I sign in to the 1Password desktop app with a passkey (without a Yubikey/phone/etc)?

When testing the passkey sign-in beta on the 1Password desktop app, I'm not able to sign in with a passkey. The "Sign in with passkey" button in the picture does nothing but change color when I click on it.
When will I be able to use a passkey to sign in to the Linux desktop app on my Linux PC without a Yubikey or a phone (or any other security key that I have to buy)?
If I can fix this problem now, then how do I fix it?
My PC has firmware TPM 2.0; I would like to use the TPM instead of a phone or security key.
