Small orange triangle next to 1Password icon in Safari

Hello,
I am new to 1Password and am still trying to figure out some of the features.
I seem to have a small orange triangle next to 1Password icon in Safari.

I have enabled extensions but the triangle just won't seem to go away.

I have attached images...any thoughts?

Thanks

  • Hello @razzy8, thanks for writing in and welcome to 1Password!

Typically, the triangle beside the icon indicates missing permissions. Can you check to make sure that 1Password for Safari's permissions are set? Here's how:

    1. Open Safari. Click "Safari" in the macOS menu bar and select "Settings".
    2. In the Websites tab, click "1Password for Safari" on the left side and ensure that "For other websites" is set to Allow.

What exactly happens when you click the 1Password icon in Safari's toolbar? When you visit a website, do you see suggestions beneath the fields offering to fill your credentials?

    Hi Evon,
    Thanks for your response.
It seems like the settings are set to "allow" (see attached pic)

1Password does seem to offer suggestions for username and password.
However, often times they are hidden behind Apple Keychain suggestions and sometimes hard to even see.
Not sure if this orange triangle beside the icon is related.
    Other thoughts?
    Thanks

Can you try fully quitting the Safari browser and opening it again? Does that alleviate the errant triangle? You may also want to scroll the listing and see if you've marked the 1Password community as deny/block or ask. Changing it to allow should help if its configuration is set to ask or deny/block

    Thanks ag_tommy.

Errant triangle seems to be gone now that I restarted browser...why didn't I think of that?!

    Thanks again
