Hi there.

I'm having an issue with old passwords being prefilled while using Chrome on my Macbook.

1Password is set as the password manager in Chrome.
There are no other passwords saved in Chrome.
Keychain is disabled.
All history, including passwordsand website data has been deleted in Chrome.

Despite the above settings every time I go to a website that requires a password old credentials are prefilled and I need to delete the prefilled password before I can select the correct one from the 1Password popup.

Has anyone come across this before by any chance and were you able to fix it?

Thanks in advance for the assistance.
John

    Hello @JohnHarrigan! 👋

I'm sorry that you're continuing to see passwords being filled by Chrome. Does this look like asterisks just appearing in password fields? Or do you see a login suggestion from Chrome that you have to click on?

I know that you said that you've deleted your passwords in Chrome but can you follow the steps in this guide one more time (especially steps 3 and 4, after you've confirmed that your passwords have all been migrated to 1Password): Move your passwords from Chrome to 1Password

I look forward to hearing from you.
