Any way to keep the 1P app from locking on my Mac, and run in the background?

I've gone into the security settings and set to Never lock, but every time I open the app, it's locked. I really hope this can be corrected. It's annoying to have to copy and paste my password in every time.

It would also be great if 1P ran it's extension in the background so I don't have to launch the app every time I am using Safari. Sorry to compare, but LastPass does both of these effectively.
