Display item count conveniently
A suggestion/request from me, a new convert from LastPass: I am often interested in the count of how many items are associated with a tag, a vault, etc. The count is inconveniently available at the bottom of the item list, which is often very long. Why not put it at the top of the list, or even in parentheses next to the tag name, vault name, etc., like many other programs (especially email clients) do? One way or another, make the count conveniently visible without scrolling to the bottom or opening any other windows. I am using the 1Password for Windows 8.10.28.

Hello @RonOnThePond! 👋
Thank you for reaching out! You can view the item count by clicking on the sort button at the top of an item list if you would prefer to avoid scrolling to the bottom of the list:
I hope that helps. 🙂

Thank you,@dave_1P. I had not noticed that, and it does help. However, I'll stand by my original suggestion. Here's one use case (mine, now) for which clicking the sort button is still inconvenient. I imported a boatload of items from LastPass and their respective tags along with them. I want to now clean up the mess, starting by eliminating infrequently used tags and reorganizing overused ones, but which are they? With your method, I'd have to click the tag (on the left) and then click the sort button in order to see the count, and I'd either have to write these down or remember which one I hope to target in my cleanup effort. So it's click the tag, click the sort button, click the tag, click the sort button, click the tag, click the sort button, click click click click click click click click click click click, while all the while trying to remember. The ability to glance at the counts in parentheses next to each tag (or vault, or collection, or whatever) on the left would make this so much easier. Please consider it for a future update!

Thank you for the detailed feedback! While I can't make any promises, I've filed a feature request on your behalf with our Product team so that they can consider adding item counts to the sidebar in the future. 🙂

Thank you, Dave. I have noticed and appreciate that you monitor this discussion group closely, and most importantly, respond quickly and on point. In fact, I'm wondering whether "Dave" is a catch-all for a team, rather than an individual. Either way, Dave(s), thank you!

Nope it's just me, a singular Dave. 😄
My colleagues also join in on discussions in the community, anyone whose name is in orange with the 1Password logo next to their name work for 1Password.
