Huawei App Gallery Availability

Hi,

I see in the search results that multiple people hav requested for 1Password to be added to the Huawei App Gallery over the past few years but I see it's not available yet. When might it be available? Using my MatePad without it is a real pain...

    Thank you for expressing your interest in seeing 1Password for Android app available in the Huawei App Gallery as it currently can only be downloaded via Google Play Store. I can definitely understand how this can benefit users such as yourself that own Huawei devices and may not be able to access the Google Play Store. I've gone ahead and shared this request with the Product team. Although I can't make any promises as to when or if a change is made or share a timeline, this feedback will be reviewed and taken into consideration when planning the roadmap ahead.

    @Ttimg1p this information may help you team making decisions .
    Huawei, as the largest smartphone brand in China, sells over 60 million phones annually with an active user base exceeding 200 million. Many users, like myself, have transitioned from Apple products to Huawei devices and have found 1Password to be very convenient on Apple devices. However, due to policy restrictions, Huawei devices are unable to access the Google Play Store, which prevents us from using 1Password on Huawei devices.

    Thank you for the feedback, I'm sorry that you're unable to install 1Password on your Android device as you don't have access to Google Play. 1Password for Android is currently only published via the Google Play Store as it ensures updates and verification of app authenticity for our customers.

    With that being said, I understand how an alternate method to install 1Password on Huawei and other Android devices that don't have access to Google Play would be beneficial. I've passed your request and comments along to our product team. 🙂

    I have been using 1password for several years. Unfortunately I have not found a better alternative. I have to fight with finding Android APKs of 1password online from time to time. It is a headache for me for a few years.
    I want to point out that New Huawei cell phones will give up Android in a few months, with using Pure Harmony OS. Please think about deliver a new version for Harmony OS, which may give you an excellent and huge Chinese market. I am looking forward to having it, or I am continuing searching for a replacement of 1password.

    I don't recommend using APKs of 1Password for Android that you find on other websites. These are not released by 1Password and may be modified in ways that could compromise your passwords and other data. They may not be authentic and are not supported.
