I am using this bundle with terraform plugin and now I can't use it after update
How can I download previous version of 1Password? Or how to fix this issue?
Or update 1Password CLI Beta please

Hello @leva0887! 👋
I'm sorry that the CLI isn't working on your Mac. It looks like you're using an old version of the CLI, the latest version is 2.27.0. You can update using this guide:
Let me know if you still see the issue after updating. 🙂

Sorry for misunderstanding, but I need only beta version of CLI, because only beta works with terraform plugin. Please update beta version or tell me how to use terraform plugin with 2.27.0
Also please take a look on instruction. It says only beta will work with terraform plugin
https://developer.1password.com/docs/cli/shell-plugins/terraform/1 -
Hey there @leva0887, I took a closer look at the beta on MacOS and I'm seeing the same thing; the beta version of the CLI tool immediately errors out when attempting to sign in. I've reached out to the Development team to bring this to their attention. I apologize for the inconvenience here!
In the meantime, it should still be possible to sign into the terminal manually, so you can continue using it. To do so, sign into the 1Password desktop app, navigate to
Settings -> Developer
, and toggle off theIntegrate with 1Password CLI
option. This should allow you to add your account to the CLI manually.0 -
When signing in manually, we're still unable to use the terraform plugin:
Shell Plugins can only be used with the 1Password app integration enabled
.So the Terraform plugin is unusable at the moment.
Is the issue with an update of the 1password MacOS app or an update to the cli? i.e. what should I downgrade to get this to work?

Hi there, just bumping this thread. Also running into this issue:
connecting to desktop app: connection reset, make sure 1Password CLI is installed correctly, then open the 1Password app, select 1Password > Settings > Developer and make sure the 'Integrate with 1Password CLI' setting is turned on. If you're still having trouble connecting, restart the app.
I believe the latest 1Password app update broke the integration with
1Password CLI version 2.23.0-beta.01
. We're using this for the Terraform plugin and the issue occurs before we even get to the login step in the CLI. We may end up not using 1Pass for anything Terraform.1 -
Hey all - we've run into the same issue: the latest Mac app seems to have broken the integration.
We love this integration and would very much like to keep using it.
@Dayton_ag @Dave_1P any update on a fix or workaround?

Same issue here. I uninstalled the terraform plugin, and still get this error when running the 2.23.0-beta.01 CLI against the current 1P app. So is this just an incompatibility of the 1P CLI? If so, perhaps we could get a current build having the same terraform beta?

Hello @leva0887, @joshburton, @jarodlustreperetua, @iaz, and @Tom Harrison ,
We have released a new CLI beta: 2.30.0-beta.02.
You can download it now https://app-updates.agilebits.com/product_history/CLI2#v2300002
(if you do not see the beta on the release page you need to click the check box "show betas").
The beta fixes the connection issue with the 1Password desktop app.
Let us know if you notice any issues or if you have any questions.
