V 2.23.2 (any browser) 7-seconds to load extension drop-down and no auto-fill

Options

Today I've had nothing but problems with 1Password not autofilling any of the internal work websites we have (that are http - rather than https). We're behind the firewall where the server for these sites is located (using corp VPN) and the Chrome and Edge extensions don't suggest any autofill login details.

When I click on the 1Password extension button, once it finally loads (it sits there with a loading wheel on it for 7-second) it does at least suggest the correct website that I'm on - but it can't go that bit further and autofill suggest it.

I also note that when I'm on https sites (outlook.com, or even this forum login screen) it all works perfectly fine - including opening instantly when I click the extension icon. So, I'm unsure what's changed in this recent update, other than not liking non-secure sites.

Thanks - hopefully there's a fix soon, as it's tedious manually clicking buttons (and waiting the 7-seconds for it to load on these sites).

I am having the exact same issue with v2.23.1 and it's incredibly frustrating! I'm glad it's not just me!
I'm also getting crashes when trying to autofill from the Android app too. Not sure if it's related or not. Both started happening roughly around the same time. Android app verision is 8.10.32

I'm seeing the same issue on 2.23.1, and I can add a couple extra details:

    • Downgrading to 2.22.1 fixes the issue, updating back to 2.23.1 brings it back
    • The issue also occurs on some HTTPS-enabled sites as well
      • Working: https://www.engadget.com/
      • Not working: https://login.engadget.com/
You don't need an Engadget account to verify this issue (I don't have one); just try opening the 1Password popup from your browser while viewing an affected page, and it takes several seconds to load instead of its usual <1s load time

How do you go about downgrading your version?
I've seen the crx sites for chrome extensions - but I'm not clever enough to know if there's a different site for Edge extensions etc. lol.
I just want something that works (I used to have LastPass, but it was clunky and horrible and they had a data breach, so I moved swiftly to 1Password.. no real issues, until this one - hopefully it's temporary and there's another update coming through quickly to resolve it).

2.23.3 has been fixed, but I don't know how to update to this version, is the current version in the extension store 2.23.1 or 2.23.2

Woohoo! My browser extensions have all updated themselves overnight (all browsers). But, I think the Beta and the "Night" (whatever that version is?) weren't updated yet... so in Chrome, I did have to remove the Beta version I was using and install the normal plugin version which was published with V2.23.3.

    Hello everyone,

The team has released a hotfix for an issue where the autofill feature would not work on websites that are not secured via TLS or SSL certificates (the URL starts with https).

Please update to version 2.23.3 or later: How to keep 1Password up to date in your browser

If you do still notice an issue with autofill on HTTP or LocalHost websites after updating to 2.23.3 then please let me know. And if you're still seeing seeing a filling issue on a HTTPS website then let me know that as well.

Thank you all for your patience while our team worked to release a fix.

    -Dave
