How to turn off suggestion to use 1Password for MFA

Hi,

given that the idea of MFA when implemented as best practice is to ensure separation of password (thing you know) with token generator (thing you have) using 1Password to automatically populate both password and token breaks the security model.

I'd like to be able to turn off 1Password suggesting to my staff that they use it to store MFA tokens. I can't however see any setting that would allow me to do this.

Is there a way to turn off this feature? (not turning off MFA to 1Password, that feature I like, but turning off 1Password's ability to store and generate MFA information).

Thanks,

Chris

    I note that this setting is available on my personal settings:

    but I'd like to at very least, for this setting for all users and better, disable the ability to store/use MFA in the app.

    @chrispaine

    I did not see anything that could be actioned in the MDM settings. I'd be happy to let the team know this is something you'd prefer for your team. I can't make any promises, but I can ensure your preference is seen and evaluated.

    Hi @ag_tommy do you know if there has been any update in this area?

    Thanks!

  • Not that I am aware of @chrispaine We submit the feature requests to the products team and they determine if the feature will get implemented. It's still in their hands.
