Autocomplete with "name" uses username instead of real name

Hi.

I dont' know if this me not understanding the autocomplete correctly or a bug in 1Password, but let's go!

I have the following HTML code on a page:

<input type="text" id="name" name="name" autofocus="" class="page-signin-form-control form-control login-dialog__input" placeholder="Dit rigtige navn" autocomplete="name" required="" />

"Dit rigtige navn" means "Your real name".

When I let 1Password fill this input field, I select the identity I want to use, but instead of my real name, it uses my username.

Have I understood something wrong here?

  • Hello @greew, thank you for reaching out. I apologize for the delay in my response.

    I've tested the HTML code you shared but haven't been able to recreate the same behaviour. I've created a short video demonstrating the Identity item auto-filling into the field -> https://share.cleanshot.com/BPjT2lmZ.

    So that I can take a closer look at the issue you’re experiencing, I’d like to request that you send us some information to support+forum@1Password.com.

    I look forward to assisting you further.
