What is the purpose of this ellipse menu in the community posts?

I've tried on iOS (Chrome) and Windows (Chrome) and both produce the same result, a small, rectangular, and apparently empty, box.

    Well, on this post it displays the edit option. So, nothing if not my post...that's not confusing at all.

    The more actions menu will not contain any actionable content if you're not editing a post like in your example. It does contain options for those (moderators and staff) who are able to perform specific activities such as splitting and moving conversations. I'm sorry it's showing a blank spot for you. I'll see if the team can make any tweaks to alleviate the blank area.
