Will it be possible to unlock 1Password with just a security key?
Hello, currently we can add a security key, however it is only asked when we connect from a different location, but I would like to be able to connect with my security key at each session, and only with this means or the password (for example, like Touch ID), will this be possible in the future?
Thanks

Hello @tim275! 👋
Thank you for the question! If you're using an existing 1Password account then you can indeed add a security key as a second-factor for two-factor authentication: Use your security key as a second factor for your 1Password account
Your security key will be required on each new device or browser that you use 1Password on to authenticate your account. But it's not possible to require a security key, that is meant for two-factor authentication, for subsequent unlocks since your account is already authenticated.
The team is currently testing passkey unlock for 1Password and the functionality is available through a public beta. This new feature will allow you to use a passkey to unlock 1Password rather than using your account password. You can save a passkey either in a platform authenticator (like iCloud Keychain) or you can save it on a hardware security key. You can read more here:
Currently, passkey unlock is only available through our public beta for new individual accounts. The team hopes to bring this new feature to existing 1Password accounts in the future. 🙂
