Why so many vaults when upgrading to version 8 ?

I use 1pswd since many many years and upgraded to version 8 recently. Now, I have multiple instances of each login in the "All items", one Private and two Primary vaults. Each time I try to login in a Safari website, I get 3 or 4 propositions... what's the sense of that? It didn't work like this before.
I have read the informations about dealing with Vaults. It says, if I delete a Vault, everything inside will be deleted... not a really appealing message...
My questions : 1.- why did so many Vaults appear suddenly / 2.- will deleted items with deletion of a Vault disappear everywhere ?
Thanks,
BS

  • Hi @bscherler - I'm sorry to hear about this. Without more information, it's difficult to say exactly what's happened here.

Based on your description, it's possible that your data has been migrated twice by mistake. As an example, this could happen if your data was partially migrated from a Primary vault in the past, but the Primary vault was then not deleted and was left in place. This could then lead to a situation where the 1Password 8 installer then detected the Primary vault and offered to migrate its contents for a second time.

I can see that you've also sent an email to 1Password support. Email will be a better place to troubleshoot this problem and get to the bottom of what's happened, as we'll be able to discuss account-specific information there.

You should receive an email response from the team soon. Looking forward to helping further there.
