How to install 1Password if Google Play isn't available in China
Because the 1password Android app relies on Google Play, and Google Play is not available in China, the 1password Android app cannot be used in China for a long time.
Now that more and more people in China are switching from Apple to Huawei, these old 1Password users are unable to install the app on Huawei, which is extremely inconvenient. We hope that 1Password will pay attention to the experience of Chinese users and provide a solution.
Because it is not only Chinese users who are affected by this kind of problem, but also many users from other countries who travel to China are also affected by this kind of impact.

I very much agree with your proposal.
There are a lot of Huawei users in China, and there are also many users who have switched from Apple to Huawei. However, Huawei can't use Google Play, so 1Password can't be used. Does 1Password offer a non-Google Play installer or make the app available on the HUAWEI AppStore?0 -
Hello @Windspeeder! 👋
I've merged your posts into one thread in order to keep the conversation in one place. 🙂
Thank you for the feedback, I'm sorry that you're unable to install 1Password on your Android device as you don't have access to Google Play. 1Password for Android is currently only published via the Google Play Store as it ensures updates and verification of app authenticity for our customers.
With that being said, I understand how an alternate method to install 1Password on Huawei and other Android devices that don't have access to Google Play would be beneficial. While I can't make any promises, I've filed a feature request on your behalf to have the team look into adding such options in the future.
