We still can't resize the browser extension window

In v7 it was possible to grab the bottom right corner of the web browser extension window and resize it:

This feature was broken when v8 was released. You've been telling us it's in the dev pipeline, but it's been well over 2 years now and there's still no fix despite multiple posts on this topic (most of which you have closed):

Come on AgileBits, when are we going to get a fix on this?

    Thank you for the feedback! To clarify, 1Password in the browser's pop-up window remaining a consistent size is currently by design. The product team is aware of the requests that you mentioned to have the pop-up be resizable but I can't promise with certainty whether this is something that will be added to a future version of 1Password. That being said, the feature request is still open internally and I've let the team know that you're eager to see this functionality be added to 1Password in the future.

    So that the team can better understand your personal need to resize the pop-up window, can you tell me a little more about how this feature would help your use of 1Password? Is certain information cut off and are you able to provide a screenshot to help me visualize the issue? Knowing your personal need for the feature will allow me to add your use case to the feature request.

    I'm surprised that you're asking or more detail. The problem has been clearly articulated in the previous posts. In short, there's insufficient width in the search results section, causing entry names to be truncated. The entry detail section (lower right section) is not tall enough, requiring you to scroll to access most of the fields.

    It's also frustrating that you're now telling the community that this is 'by design', whereas in most of the previous posts you acknowledged that this was a defect that needs to be remedied.

    I can't believe it's that hard to fix this. If you're not willing or able to make this window resizable, at least give us the option of having either a small or large version of the panel.

    Thank you for detailing your use case. Even though others have weighed in already in other threads, and the team is aware of those comments, knowing why you personally would find resizing the pop-up useful helps me to continue to push for the feature internally with the team. The more unique use cases that we can identify, the stronger the case for building such a feature becomes.

    I'm sorry if I missed an earlier comment from you where you've shared this before.

    The modern version of the 1Password extension isn't designed to be resizable, it's not a functionality that has been built yet. I can definitely see how it would be useful to be able to expand the pop-up, or to choose a larger version, and I've shared all of your feedback with the team. 🙂
