Switch off "Save login" for certain pages

I use 1Password both privately and professionally. Professionally, I have to do with the creation of websites. Here I have to deal with websites where the server address and credentials change frequently. I don't want to save these at all. Nevertheless, the dialog always appears asking me to save them.
I would like to have the option of blocking the "Save login" dialog for certain hostnames, IP addresses or even better IP ranges. This is possible in Chrome's password manager.

  • Hello @coolchip! 👋

Thank you for the feedback! I'm sorry that 1Password is getting in the way and I can definitely see how being able to turn off 1Password's save prompt on certain websites or IPs would be useful. I've filed a feature request on your behalf.

For the time being, I have two suggestions that might help:

    1. If you don't want to see 1Password on certain websites, you can right-click on the page and then click 1Password - Password Manager > Hide on this page. 1Password won't appear on that page until you restart your browser.
    2. I know that some developers use a separate browser, browser profile, or even an Incognito window where they're not running extensions like 1Password for development purposes. Would that option be something that might help your workflow as well?

Hey. Till now I don't know the right click trick. This is very useful for me. Thank you.
A separate Browser profile might also be okay.

  • I'm happy that those options help. 🙂
