1Password inconsistently populating user names and passwords

My 1Password is inconsistent in populating user names and passwords. It's almost as if 1Password is treating me, as if I am not a current subscriber (I am a current subscriber).

I currently have the 8.10.30 version of 1 Password. I am using Safari.

Please help!! Thank you!!

1Password Version: 8.10.30
Extension Version: 2.20.0
OS Version: Sonoma 14.4.1
Browser: Safari

  • Hello @Jusacruiser! 👋

I'm sorry that 1Password isn't filling your login credentials consistently. Can you tell me a little more about the issue? Does it always occur on the same websites? Or is it completely random? Do you still see the login suggestion from 1Password appear after you click on a username or password field? What happens when you click on the suggestion?

As a first step, since I see that you're running older versions of both the desktop app and browser extension, please update to the latest versions:

I look forward to hearing from you.

Hi Dave....Thanks for trying to help me with my question. Yes, the issue typically occurs on the same websites. 1Password always performs normally on some websites....and then on other websites, 1password does not automaticallytically populate. So then I have to login the old fashioned way....that would be by going to 1Password, finding the user name and password, and then manually entering that information to log in. The only suggestion I've ever seen was the one I saw this morning....and that is to say yes to using touch ID and also to update my Safari browser extension in the app store. Maybe these things will work. 🤔 I'm not sure yet. I'll need to login to a few sites to see what happens.

  • If you continue to have trouble please let us know. Is it possible to share the site in question?

Most of my login passwords are to sites that are financial in nature. I just tried my login for Fidelity.com and it did not populate. So it appears that the issue is NOT fixed. And on a separate unrelated issue/nuisance is that every time I click on the 1Password icon in the task bar at the top of the window it makes me login to 1Password EVERY time. If there is something I can do about that too?

Ok....everything appears to be working now!! Thank you!!

  • On behalf of the team, you're welcome @Jusacruiser. I'm glad to hear that 1Password is working as expected.

Let me know if there's anything else I can assist you with.
