Windows Pin prompts and hints. Please stop them.
My father uses 1password. He's 85. Every time he gets a strange dialog, or a hint, or anything that isn't normal, he calls me. Recently his windows 1password keeps prompting him about a windows pin. Probably a suggestion to set up 1password to use Windows Hello with a strong pin. He can't figure out how to "get out of it" so he restarts his computer. Is there only a continue button? Can you just stop prompting for this over and over again. I've never seen the dialog, because I am remote family IT support and haven't been able to make it pop up. He does not have Windows Hello support turned on and we certainly don't want it.
A side not. I notices an "Add your first items" hint. "Add your first items, Passwords in a notebook? In the cloud? You can add them easily" with a + sign to go import them. Yet there is no possible way for this hint to go away. If he sees this, he will call.
Please allow me to turn off all hints and suggestion dialogs. I have all windows notifications turned off for this reason too :-)

Hi @bh444, apologies for the delay in our response here!
Recently his windows 1password keeps prompting him about a windows pin. Probably a suggestion to set up 1password to use Windows Hello with a strong pin.
There are two possibilities for this - the first is that he's seeing the desktop app's initial set up prompt, which appears the first time you add an account to the app, and explains a few features such as Windows Hello unlock. This window has a slider you can click on to either enable or disable Hello unlock, and a
Continue
button. The prompt can be completed by setting the slider the way you'd like, and then clicking continue until you reach the end. Once completed, this prompt shouldn't appear again until the app is reset or the account is fully signed out and then re-added from fresh. The second possibility is that he's seeing a Windows Hello prompt to unlock the app, which would indicate that Windows Hello unlock is currently enabled in the desktop app under ⋮> Settings > Security. In this case, disabling the option should stop it from appearing in future.
"Add your first items, Passwords in a notebook? In the cloud? You can add them easily" with a + sign to go import them. Yet there is no possible way for this hint to go away.
This hint appears when you have under a certain amount of items stored in a particular vault, so will go away on its own as more items are added. I did some testing and for me I see
Add your first items
with less than 3 items,Have more to add?
with under 7 items, and no hint with 7 or more items. Please allow me to turn off all hints and suggestion dialogs.
I can definitely understand how this would be useful, and thank you for your feedback here. I've filed a feature request with our Product team including all of the details you've provided on your use case. While I can't make any promises as to if or when you might see this change made to 1Password, you can keep an eye on our release notes to stay up to date with future changes: 1Password Releases
I hope this helps, but if you have any further questions or concerns, let us know!

You can pass this info on if you like. I'm just updating you because I saw the popup myself this time. I don't need any other response or answers. Thanks for your response.
Hello Settings Popup......
I just logged into my Windows 10 machine (which is the OS my father uses) and I got the popup. I have never turned this on and don't necessarily want it.
In any case, I found myself in the same situation as my father. Presented with a dialog, with the 'use Hello' option selected. I did not have a an X or a cancel button. So I "X'd out" of 1Password (like my father did), reopened it and checked my settings. Unlock with Hello was on so I turned it off. Not sure if it was on before or not. I don't want it on for him as it just confuses things.
I've had this computer and 1password on it for years as has he. You can see why I got a phone call. Every time you ask him a question, I get called.
It could be that some windows update or 1Password update could have caused it to reappear.
Add your first items...
My father does not have a private vault as he is a Guest user (our family has 3 permanent Guest users so that they can't have private vaults). So maybe it is triggered by that. He has 80+ items in our shared vault. When you click on "All Items" it shows the "Add your first items" hint above his 80+ item list from the shared vault.
