Safari on iOS ignores autofill collection
I have a Collection, it is the default in Autofill, yet 1Password in Safari still offers passwords from a shared vault not in the Collection.
Please let me know what I’m doing wrong, must be the settings are wrong somewhere.
Thank you for your help.

Hello @iwaddo! 👋
Thanks for reaching out. 1Password for Safari doesn't currently support collections but you can choose what vaults are available in Safari by following these steps:
- Open Safari and navigate to any website.
- Tap the Page Settings button (AA) in the address bar, then tap 1Password.
- If you're using an iPad, tap the 1Password icon in the address bar.
- Tap the settings button in the pop-up, then tap Settings.
- Tap Account & vaults.
- De-select any vaults or accounts that you don't want to see suggestions from.
I hope that helps! 🙂

Thanks for the reply and I'm sorry for the confusion. The screenshot that you posted is from the AutoFill page inside of the main 1Password app and it contains settings for filling with iOS Password AutoFill, not the Safari extension. You can find descriptions of the two different filling methods here:
Settings for the safari extension can be found using the steps in my previous post. I hope that helps. 🙂

Hi @iwaddo - I hope you don't mind me jumping in to help while Dave is away. Apologies for any confusion, there are two ways to autofill your saved login items from 1Password on an iOS device:
1Password for Safari is a browser extension and offers a similar experience to that of using the 1Password browser extensions on a desktop or laptop device. You can fill and save using 1Password for Safari by tapping the suggestions in the inline menu, directly below fillable fields:
Safari is the only browser on iOS that supports extensions, so 1Password for Safari will only be available there.
The other method is through the 1Password integration with iOS's built in Password AutoFill feature. This allows you to autofill login items in any app or browser where iOS is able to detect a fillable sign-in form. You can use the 1Password integration with iOS Password AutoFill by tapping the suggested logins or the "🔑 Passwords" button that appear directly above your keyboard or at the bottom of the screen.
You can choose to rely on the 1Password integration with iOS Password AutoFill to autofill your logins in Safari, but 1Password for Safari will offer more functionality there, as 1Password is fully in control of the processes of filling and saving.
