Autofill on Android apps not working

I am having trouble with autofill on Android apps

My Phone - Pixel 7
OS - Android 14

I have tried some of the suggestions on the forums

  • In 1Password Settings -> Autofill, turned on Autofill, Show filling suggestions,
  • In Android settings, set 1 Password as the default app

But I can't get autofill to work on apps. Websites for the same apps in chrome seem to work.
A couple of examples of apps that don't work

  • Hotwire
  • Expedia

I just signed up for the 1password trial but without these issues resolved, I don't see myself renewing.
