Update existing dialog UI breaks when list is too long

I have one site that I do a lot of QA testing on and I have many accounts. I recently updated my password on one account and 1P popped up the save/update existing dialog box. I chose update and chose the account from the list but could not scroll to the action buttons at the bottom. I tried using my arrows to get there but no action buttons were available. After arrowing back up, the top UI above the list was gone. I had to hit escape to close the dialog.

  • Hello @MurZimminy. Thank you for writing in.

Our development team is aware of this behaviour, and we have an open issue filed internally to see if we can improve this in a future update. I have added you as an affected user.

I did some testing on my end, and I was able to partially navigate the long list of items by using the tab key on my keyboard. I hope that helps in the meantime.

I apologize for any interruption in your workflow caused by this issue. Please let me know if there is anything else I can help with.

I am also having the same issue. I have a password that rotates daily, so I face this issue every day. Is there any ETA on when this will be resolved?

  • @JtMotox,

Our developers are still working on this issue, I don't have a timeframe on when this problem will be resolved. I've added you to our internal reporting as an affected user. I'm sorry for the inconvenience.

This issue also affects me, and has for months. My workaround has been to zoom way out, but I have so many items for my company's domain that if I'm on my laptop, I can't zoom out enough to see to the Update button.

It's been an issue since May 30th at least according to this ticket, can we please get a fix? Scrollbars? Or at least the ability to use our mouse wheel to scroll? Overflow: auto?

The issue is still open with our development team to be fixed in a future update, I'm sorry for the inconvenience. The following workaround, until the issue is fixed, helps most users:

    1. When you are suggested to update an existing login item, click New Item instead.
    2. Next to the item, click the Edit button.
    3. In the pop-up window that appears, switch to Update existing and choose the item you'd like to update there.

Let me know if that doesn't work for you.

Hi Dave, I just tested and that's a great, simple workaround. Thank you for your post!

  • I'm happy that the workaround helps for now. 🙂
