Why doesn't 1PW often fail to offer to update or create new PW?
Please see example screenshot below. I wanted to update my password, so I enter the existing one and then let 1PW generate a secure new one. I hit submit.......and as is so often the case 1PW doesn't pop up any offer to update my existing password or even offer to save a new PW. Now I don't even hav e a record of the PW it just created and have to do a PW reset and make sure to manually copy and paste the PW next time in case 1PW does it to me again.
Yes, most of the time PW offers to update or save a new PW. But it is often enough that it does not that it's an irritation. If it's smart enough to recognize the new password field and generate one for me, why does it fail at offering to save it once I hit submit.
Thanks

Hello @PasswordSchmassword! 👋
I'm sorry that 1Password isn't offering to save your login on certain pages. So that I can investigate this further, are you able to provide the website address of the page in your screenshot?
Can you also tell me what browser you're using? I look forward to hearing from you. 🙂

It was a NetSuite portal. FYI I've has this happen many times. So much so that I usually manually copy and paste the password into a temp note very time I create a new one, for fear that when I hit submit this will happen. I believe it is far more likely to happen when resetting a password, based on recollection. When creating a new password it only happens once in a while.

Thank you for providing that example. Just to confirm, are you clicking on the suggested password that 1Password surfaces below the password field:
Or are you generating the password from another location like the standalone password generator in the 1Password pop-up in the browser?

I am using the one 1PW generates. That is when it works, on some sites it pops up, but won't fill the field. Which is another small irritation - it sure would be nice if when that happened it was possible to click on a copy button and manually copy. That way it could then be pasted in manually. Instead when it fails the user then has to go up to the extension and start the process over again.
And it would also solve the irritation of the main issue I reported. Because then is 1PW did not save password, I would have the PW on my clipboard so I could manually create a PW and paste it in.
Hopefully that all makes sense.

Thank you for those details. I'd like to investigate why 1Password sometimes fails to fill a generated password on your Mac. The next time that the issue occurs, please send in a console log:
