1password trying and failing to fill password into email field in Amazon iOS app
I'm adding an Amazon account to the app in iOS. At the sign in page, when I tap into the "Email or phone number" field and tap the key icon, it offers the option "Choose a saved password to use". If I tap the account I want, the 1password screen comes up, does the face id thing and I'm back at the "Email or phone number" field with nothing in it. Seems like a bug, expected behavior is to offer to fill email field with email not password and then to actually do it.

I'm sorry that you're unable to fill your login credentials into the Amazon app. I can reproduce the issue issue on my iPhone using both 1Password and iCloud Keychain. This means that iOS AutoFill (the technology that all password managers use to fill login credentials into iOS apps) isn't filling the "Email or phone number" field for some reason for any password manager.
I recommend that you report the issue to Amazon so that they can investigate why their app isn't working correctly with iOS AutoFill. Amazon's team will be in the best position to investigate the issue.
For the time being, if you type in your email address into the "Email or phone number" field and tap Continue you can use iOS AutoFill to fill your password from 1Password on the next screen. I hope that helps. 🙂
