1Password usage when offline

While on a plane yesterday I attempted to use 1Password on my Android phone (Pixel 8 Pro).

I would open the app and it would hang displaying a white screen. At times something appeared after a long delay, others it just hung. Even if a list of items appeared it was sluggish and basically impossible to use. As soon as I landed and turned off Airplane mode it started once again working correctly.

It seems as if the app is attempting to sync. Surely as it can detect there is no internet connection there should be a way to suspend all attempts to do anything online.

I simply needed a password for something and it was impossible to get.

As of 2024-04-04 I'm using the latest versions of both 1Password and Android.

  • Hello @Barryl! 👋

I'm sorry that 1Password started performing slowly when you put your device into Airplane mode. I'd like to ask you to create a diagnostics report from your Android device:

    Sending Diagnostics Reports (Android)

Attach the diagnostics to an email message addressed to support+forum@1password.com.

    With your email please include:

    Please send the entire file.

You should receive an automated reply from our BitBot assistant with a Support ID number. Please post that number here. Thanks very much!
