Running on Ubuntu 23.10, using Xwayland (just switched from Xorg) and Nvidia driver 555.42.02.

The global shortcut (Ctrl-Shift-Space) which used to work in an Xorg session does not work in a Wayland session.

I can't switch back to Xorg, unfortunately, because some issue related to the Nvidia driver is causing noticeable input lag in GNOME Terminal.

Anyone know of a workaround?

More info:

  • shortcut works if I have MS Edge browser in focus
  • shortcut does not work if I have GNOME Terminal in focus
  • shortcut does not work if I have the Desktop in focus
  • shortcut does not work if I have non-deb Firefox (i.e. installed from a plain tarball) in focus
