Touch ID on Mac Without Admin Privileges

I have a corporate Mac that is pretty much locked down. I can install 1PW browser extensions but not the 1PW app. I don't see a way to activate Touch ID access to 1PW via the browser extensions. Is the app required in order to use Touch ID to access 1PW? Thanks.

    Yes, the 1Password desktop application is required to use Touch ID.
