Unable to use passkey to sign in when saved in a vault outside the autofill collection

  1. Create a collection of vaults (we'll call it autofill)
  2. Create a login item with a passkey and save it in a vault that is NOT in the autofill collection
  3. Configure iOS 1Password app to autofill entries from the autofill collection
  4. Navigate to desired website on desktop (macOS)
  5. Choose the option to sign in by scanning a QR code with mobile
  6. Scan the QR, it opens 1Password iOS app.
  7. Since the item is not in the autofill collection, no suggestions appear
  8. Change the collection to All Vaults, and search for your item
  9. Tap the item to use the passkey

I expect the login to succeed, but it fails. When I move the login item into a vault that's in the autofill collection, it works as expected.

    Thank you for reaching out and for providing detailed and clear reproduction steps. I can confirm that I see the same issue on my own device and I've filed an internal work item for our development team to investigate this further.

    Please keep 1Password updated so that you receive the fix as soon as it is available.

    For the time being, the best workaround for the issue is to keep your passkeys in the account/collection that is set in the "Show filling suggestions from" setting in 1Password for iOS. I'm sorry for the inconvenience.
