Personal vaults greyed out when trying to create a new password. Only work vaults available

Hi all,
I have two 1Password accounts, one for business (1Password US) and a Family one (1Password EU). The default is my personal private vault.

When I create a new account, 1Password offers to generate a password but wants to save the new login in My Company>Employee vault. If I try and select my personal vault, I see that all vaults in my family account are greyed out.

Do any of you have the same problem or have a solution for me?

I have the following features enabled:

  • SSH agent
  • CLI
  • Fastmail feature to generate a masked email

1Password Version: 8.10.33
Extension Version: 2.24.2
OS Version: macOS 14.5
Browser: Firefox 126.0.1

    I have attached a couple of screen shots to illustrate the problem. You can see that the Family account has all vaults greyed out and that my Family > Private vault is my default vault.

    I'm sorry that you're unable to save logins into your personal 1Password account. As a start, make sure that your 1Password account isn't frozen: If your 1Password account is frozen

    If the account isn't frozen then can you tell me if you're able to create and edit items using your family account in the 1Password for Mac app (not the browser)?

    Sososo sorry for the late reply @Dave_1P ;)

    The account is not frozen and I am able to edit records in my family account. I find it odd that the default isn't chosen. That said, I wanted to reproduce the error on sites I already have an account for and sites I never created an account on but it all works fine now. The default is my private family vault.

    Is this a problem you have seen before? It's not my first time and it's an easy work around to manually create it. If it happens again, I'll update the post. If you have an answer to my intermittent problem, I'm all ears.

    Thank you for the update. If the issue occurs again then please send in a console log while the issue is happening:

    Attach the file to an email message addressed to support+forum@1password.com and send it using the email address associated with the account experiencing the issue.

    With your email please include:

    You should receive an automated reply from our BitBot assistant with a Support ID number. Please post that number here. Thanks very much!
