How to download the full app?

The download links on the 1Password.com page all point to a ZIP file containing a "1Password Installer", which downloads and installs the app by itself.

Is there a way to download the actual 1Password app itself, instead of having to download an app which downloads the app? Most other apps seem to have moved away from the "download a downloader" model over the past few years, especially on macOS.

    We recommend the installer. It will always download the most current version and have it read for you to install in a short time.

    So you're refusing to answer the question. Instead of saying "we recommend", you should just go ahead and say "we require". Got it.

    I'll remember this when it comes time to renew my family plan.

    There isn't a way to just download a particular version aside from the PKG installer. The regular installer ensures that the latest version of 1Password is always installed on your Mac. We want to avoid having users end up using old versions of 1Password that might have unpatched bugs or other issues.

    Was there a reason why you wanted to avoid using the installer? Are you running into issues with the installer?
