Kludgy Behavior of 1P w/Windows Hello

So I have opened a ticket, your expert help was much appreciated, apparently you don't have that many folks that dual boot with Linux. I still feel there is something "off" with the workflow. Why do I enter my enter my "Account Password" only to find 1P then activates WH? Almost like a 2nd factor! The WH prompt pops up in front of a successfully opened vault, in fact, a real headscratcher.

Same behavior using your GitHub interface (SSH); I have to authorize that even though 1P and the browser helper are both open. Is this expected behavior, it has been an annoyance at least a year, perhaps longer, I think WH has been supported for several years, but it is a "work in progress" as far as my perceptions of it.

  • Hello @AlmoEnd! 👋

I'm sorry that you continue to run into issues with unlocking 1Password. Our Linux and Windows experts over on the email side would be in the best position to continue the conversation since they have access to the diagnostics reports and information that you sent in and we don't here on the public forum.

If you reply to the last email that you received from the support team then this will re-open your ticket. Please continue the conversation there.

[#IGL-82932-183] Question about 1Password was reopened via Email. I really feel it's a design/UI issue, not a low-level behavior having to do with secure boot and GRUB.

If you reply to the last email that you received in that ticket then the technical team would be happy to continue the conversation with you. 🙂

Since we have a communications channel open via email, I'll close this thread to avoid having the same discussion in two places at once.
