Just wanted to change my password and went through hell

This looks like an innocent bug, but can in-theory ruin your day. I was trying to change a password for a service, but this deceived me.

In the history window:

  • Entry 1: 18 June 2024 at 15:38 (timestamp matches with the latest password, see under the window) but this in fact is not the the latest password it's -1 (one-before) the latest, but carries the timestamp of latest.
  • Entry 2: 18 June 2024 at 14:12, this is the correct timestamp for Entry 1, but shows up with entry 2.

This confusion lead me to change my password a couple of times and pulling my hairs out.

The latest password should the one displayed in the main 1Password interface not in the password history. Then the 2nd most recent would be the one at 15:38 and the 3rd would be the one at 14:12. I've seen this confuse folks before when they expect the one show in the window to include the one the that is displayed in the main UI.
