Hey, I have been struggling to get 1Password to detect the username field on the Namecheap Login Page (other than the homepage of Namecheap). I head to this URL because it opens up my hosting list instantly for quicker access on a regular bases.

Example of Forms:

Login Page:

Working Here: https://www.namecheap.com/

Working Here: https://www.namecheap.com/myaccount/login/?ReturnUrl=/

Not Working Here: https://ap.www.namecheap.com/ProductList/HostingSubscriptions

This is an example of all the things I have tried in my 1Password Config along with the whole, clear all enteries, enter username and password and prompt 1P to save the credentials that way around:

Replicating this can be done by going to one of the following URLs:

1 . https://ap.www.namecheap.com/ProductList/HostingSubscriptions

However, going into it from the password field will autofill the username field -

I guess its petty as I clearly have 3 ways to get around this but it bugs me that it wont just work on the username....

I can replicate the behavior. I'll get something before the team to see if we can resolve this. Thanks for the report.

Any feedback if this will be tackled @ag_tommy? I tested Proton Pass this weekend, and they have gotten the mappings right, but that was just out of curiosity if others have it/dont have it working not moving, just mentioning!

Thanks for following up. The issue is still open in our developer's backlog and I don't have an ETA on when it'll be resolved. For the time being, dragging and dropping your login credentials from 1Password into the page is the best workaround: Use drag and drop to fill in apps

I'm not going to lie, I didn't know that functionality existed, so thanks a mil Dave! That's super cool functionality, shall use that for the timebeing!

  • I'm glad to hear Dave's post was helpful. I hope it provides a workaround until the team can work with the original issue.
