Hello justynr, thank you for your reply.

I appreciate the additional details. While I can't make any promises, I've shared your feedback with our product team. In the meantime, you can use the Password Generator from the 1Password extension pop-over.

    1. Click the 1Password icon in the browser's toolbar.
    2. Click the menu icon ( ≡ ) and select "Password Generator". Alternatively, you can use the CTRL+G (CMD+G on Mac) keyboard shortcut instead.

Furthermore, if you encounter issues where 1Password in the browser cannot determine the proper field on a specific website, let me know, and I'll be happy to report the problem to our development team.

I hope that helps. Let me know if you have any questions.

Because not every field is correctly labelled/id'd for 1Password to see it as a password field.
This would also allow for easy password creation in an app inside Windows without needing to exit the app to open 1Password, fill out the form in 1Passowrd, copy the password and then paste it into the application.
With this in the context menu, I can create an account in the application and then paste the password inside 1Password afterwards.

  • Hello justynr! 👋

Thank you for the suggestion! Can you tell me a little more about how you would find an additional option like that useful? 1Password will already suggest a password for you right on the page:

And if you need to generate a custom password then you can do so from the 1Password pop-up: Create a custom password
