When I'm on an app or website, with every login field I'm trying to get to autofill, I have to log in to 1PW again. Over and over. This is recent behavior, and it's very frustrating.

1Password Version: 8.10.34

    Well, actually, the app, not Chrome.

    Can anyone help?

  • Hello @mscwebmaster, thank you for writing in. I'm sorry about the trouble you're having with 1Password on iOS. You mentioned:

    with every login field I'm trying to get to autofill, I have to log in to 1PW again.

    To confirm, are you referring to unlocking the 1Password app on iOS or signing back in with your email, Secret Key and account password? Can you Autofill after unlocking/signing in to the 1Password app on iOS?

    No, I’m talking about logins in my vault. Like my bank or domain registrar or store account. On iOS, I use the login stored in my account, and it takes me to the site’s login page. It doesn’t autofill. I click the username field, click the 1PW (or whatever that link says) at the bottom of the window, and it makes me log in to 1PW again (Face ID) to fill it. Then, because it hasn’t autofilled, I click the password field, have to log in to 1PW AGAIN to get the password I have stored for that login. It’s CRAZY!

    On my Mac, when I go to log into Wells Fargo using 1PW, now their site is telling me my username is too short. Only a few characters have populated the field. I have to manually enter it. The password field is populating, but not the username.

    Are you referring to the username too short? If so and this is using 1Password in the browser try disabling auto-submit.

    1. Right-click 1Password in the browser toolbar.
    2. Select Settings.
    3. Select Autofill & save.
    4. Turn off auto-submit - "Sign in automatically after autofill
      1Password will automatically submit forms after filling logins."

    I was getting the too short username too. Turning off auto-submit helped me. Please try the same.

    @kohms @mscwebmaster

    You can also disable the setting on a site basis with 1Password in the browser 2.26.1

    • You can now manage automatic sign-ins for individual items. While viewing an item in the extension, select the ellipsis button and choose "Don't sign in automatically".

    The bank had changed the location of their login page. I changed it. Fixed. No idea why that was happening in the first place.
