Safari multiple Profiles open Problem
Hi,
I am using Safari with a "Business" and "Personal" Profile.
When both Windows are open 1password more or less refuses to work with the "Personal" Profile. It stays locked and autofill of course does not work.
In the current "Business" Profile Window everything works as expected.
Please fix, I guess :)

Hi @andrwhmmr, thanks for reaching out!
I'm sorry that 1Password isn't working in one of your Safari profiles. What happens when you click on the 1Password icon in the browser's toolbar while in the "Personal" profile? Can you reproduce the behaviour you're experiencing on your device and send over some diagnostics, so that we can take a closer look:
- How to send a 1Password diagnostics report - 1Password for Mac (desktop app)
- Save a console log for 1Password in your Safari browser

So for everyone on the Internet: This is a known bug that is currently being worked on.

Yes, correct. The team is working on this issue. I'm sorry you encountered it.

Is there an ETA? It's been known since at least April.

I'm sorry for the continued inconvenience. Our developers believe that they have identified the cause of the issue and are coding a fix that should improve the situation with Safari profiles. I hope that a fix will be released to the beta and then the stable version soon.
For the time being, the best workaround is to turn off app integration:
- Open Safari.
- Right-click on the 1Password icon in Safari and click Settings.
- Turn off "Integrate this extension with the 1Password desktop app."
- Repeat step 2 and 3 for all Safari profiles.
With app integration turned off you'll need to unlock 1Password in each profile separately and you'll need to use your account password (Touch ID and Apple Watch unlock won't be available). I know that it's not the best workaround but I'm sharing it in case it helps.

How is this not fixed yet? This issue has been going on WAY too long. Since April 2024 or longer? I have extension version 8.10.52.25 and 1Password version 8.10.52
1/20 times it works but mostly have to right-click on the 1Password icon -> Settings -> toggle off/on "Integrate this extension with the 1Password desktop app".

Our developers released improvements to how 1Password for Safari interacts with Safari profiles with version 8.10.44 back in September but we're still seeing reports from a small number of customers that the issue persists in certain cases. So that I can look into what's going wrong on your Mac, I'd like to ask you to create a diagnostics report from 1Password in your browser the next time that you encounter the issue:

Thank you for posting the Support ID. I see that my colleague requested some more information from you via email on December 3rd. Please continue the conversation there and the team will be able to investigate this further.
