1Password Unexpectedly Quit on Desktop Application

I installed the desktop application but whenever I run it, I see an error message pop up for a brief second that says "1Password quit unexpectedly" (or something along those lines) and it shuts down. If I open my browser extension with the app installed, it will keep showing that message.

I installed it using the .deb package but also tried installing it manually, neither works. I did later install it with snap and it works, but I'd prefer not to use snap.

I also have a laptop running the exact same OS and it worked fine there.

When I run it via the CLI I get the following errors:

  • Hello, @shunsei. I'm sorry about the issue you're running into with 1Password.

The error message in the terminal when trying to launch 1Password mentions a GPU process not being usable. If you try to launch 1Password from the terminal again with the command 1password --disable-gpu would the app launch without the problem?

While this won't resolve the issue permanently, it should help narrow things down. I look forward to your reply.
