1PW has proven very stable (compared to Last Pass) but....using with Android is hit or miss.

A. When I am trying to log-in to a site (using chrome) the ability to easily login only appears about 50% of the time (very rough guesstimate). Sometimes I'll be prompted to use the Android Chrome or the Samsung pw manager 1pw does not appear as a choice.

I have to juggle between my 1PW login and the website to copy and paste. very cumbersome.

B. I switched to a One Plus phone and 1PW is wanting me to authenticate the new device. I enter the code from Google Authenticator and it fails. Which code are they looking for and where do I find it.

1Password Version: 8.10.35
Extension Version: Not Provided
OS Version: android 14
Browser: chrome

  • Hello, @shipdriver. Thank you for writing in.

I'm sorry that autofill isn't working properly on your Android device. As a first step, ensure autofill is correctly set up to work with 1Password:

If you're still experiencing issues after following the steps in that guide, can you provide me with an example of a website where autofill isn't working?

The first thing to check is whether the time on all your devices is accurate. Two-factor authentication is very time-sensitive, with one-time passwords having a validity period of 30 seconds. Any difference in the time of day on a device could cause the behaviour you're seeing. Please head to this website and ensure the time on your device matches the one shown here: https://time.is.

I look forward to hearing from you.
