Submit automatically with Universal Autofill - doesn't work well with some sites
The new feature to Submit automatically with Universal Autofill works well for most sites but sometimes it causes problems.
For example:
DKB - https://www.ib.dkb.de/banking
- I can select the credentials and have them filled in by 1Password
- the page is submitted and I even get the notification for MFA on my phone but immediately, the website returns to the login screen
- if I fill in the credentials manually it works
- also, it worked with 1Password before Submit automatically with Universal Autofill was enabled
general issue
- some websites have tick boxes like stay logged in, remember username, don't ask for MFA on this device. etc.
- with Submit automatically with Universal Autofill you have no chance of clicking these
Would be nice to be able to disable Submit automatically with Universal Autofill temporarily
1Password Version: 8.10.36
Extension Version: 2.26.1
OS Version: macOS 14.5
Browser: Safari

Hi @ag_tommy - the feature is useful and therefore I wouldn't want to switch it off just for a few websites.
I think it would help if there was way to temporarily switch it off; that way you can switch it of for those site where you know it doesn't work or where you want to disable it because of tick boxes.
Obviously, it would be even better, if you could make it work with, for example, dkb.de or if you automatically detect if there is a tick box and then disable it0 -
Probably the best approach would be to have an exception list for this feature. You can tell 1Password not to use Autofill on certain sites/domains.

Thank you for the feedback, I've passed it along to the team.
I did want to note that, because of the different way that Universal Autofill works in Chrome as opposed to Safari, you can choose the "Don't sign in automatically" option in Chrome (meant to control the browser extensions autosubmit feature) and Universal Autofill won't automatically fill your login either:
Universal Autofill is implemented differently in Safari and the browser extension's "Don't sign in automatically" setting won't apply to Universal Autofill there but I wanted to mention this in case using Chrome is an option for now.

This is looking more like a bug now in the browser extension - for the login to dkb.de, that is.
I just tried logging in to https://www.ib.dkb.de/banking but this time I had switched off the extension in the 1Password prefs. Instead, I used autofill from 1Password in the menu bar. And it worked!
So it can't the site that's doing something unexpected.

Thank you for the report. I don't have a login for that website so I'm not able to test the issue but, to investigate further, I'd like to ask you to reproduce the issue one more time and then create a diagnostics report from 1Password in your browser:
