Apple Watch to Unlock 1P very erratic/unreliable
Joining the club. Sometimes watch unlock will "stick" for a day or two; when it doesn't work sometimes turning the password unlock in MacOS off, then back on will cause it to work.
Going through the steps posted by Dave in response to another individual with the same issue (disable unlock in both Mac & 1P, turn off watch & Mac, restart, set prefs again) works for a while, then stops. Lately after a reset I get a new message "You need to enter your account password before you can use Apple Watch unlock".
Above applies to both the 1Password app on Mac and the Safari extension.
None of this involves my need to add password every week, that's understood.
Any long-term fix in the works? Getting frustrated.
1Password Version: 8.10.36
Extension Version: 2.25.1
OS Version: MacOS 14.5
Browser: Safari

You're most welcome.
It's a hard choice to ask folks to submit a diagnostic report because it requires them to complete all the needed tasks. I opted not to in your case and a few this morning as it seems you are encountering the same trouble. The issue seems to be affecting many folks, seemingly indicating that one problem cropped up.
The reverse is you want to ensure you get a wide enough polling of folks to ensure it is not a different issue for different folks and cause someone an undue wait for a resolution to their problem. It's typically much easier to fix things while you are under the hood to begin with, as they say.
Thanks for your understanding and patience as the team works to resolve the issue. Should we need a diagnostic report, we'll request one from you.
I have added your report to our internal tracker.

Have to report this is getting worse. Now every time I open 1Password from locked I get
You need to enter your account password before you can use Apple Watch unlock.
This is without going through the whole turn everything off then back on routine, but just resetting unlock with apple watch in the Mac system settings. Used to work fairly reliably for a while, then doing the same thing would restore it.
You guys anywhere near a fix?
