We have two Google Chrome profiles. One is for me and the other for my wife.

Windows Hello works fine for me with 1Password but for my wife, Windows Hello doesn't work at all. We share one PC.

1Password Version: 1Password for Windows 8.10.36 (81036046)
Extension Version: 2.26.1
OS Version: Not Provided
Browser: Version 126.0.6478.183 (Official Build) (64-bit)

    Hello @Curt2Go! 👋

Thank you for reaching out. 1Password in the browser relies on the desktop app in order to use Windows Hello. So that I can better understand the situation can you tell me the following:

    1. Do you and your wife use the same 1Password account? Or do you have separate accounts in the same 1Password Families membership?
    2. Is the following setting enabled in each Chrome profile: Open your browser > Right-click on the 1Password icon in your browser's toolbar > Click Settings > Integrate this extension with the 1Password desktop app.

I look forward to hearing from you.

    Hi Dave,

We have separate accounts in the same 1Password Families membership. That is Brenda signs in to 1Password with her own username and master password as do I.

Thank you for clarifying. Windows Hello unlock for 1Password depends on the desktop app and it's only possible to add one family member at a time to the desktop app in a Windows user account. The best path forward would be to setup a second Windows user account so that you and your wife have your own. Then you can each add your own 1Password account to the desktop app in your own account.

You can find Microsoft's guide on creating a new user account here: Manage user accounts in Windows - Microsoft Support

Let me know if you have any questions. 🙂
